History
Our club was founded Feb. 16, 1933 by 36 women as a philanthropic organization. The goal was to provide education and a social outlet for members. We were instrumental in founding the Des Plaines Historical Society, Northwest Suburban Day Care, “Playground for Everyone” in Des Plaines, and Rainbow and Unicorns Oncology Camp. We have also participated in many, many city and Park District programs.
